Ravago Building Solutions UK challenges government to only reward CCPI accredited organisations with public contracts

Rebuilding Britain is the cornerstone of Andy Burnham’s vision for government. More homes. Better infrastructure. Renewed investment in towns and cities.

But society is more than bricks and mortar and our client Ravago Building Solutions UK believes that public procurement decisions should recognise and reward the organisations that play by the rules.

We secured a thought leadership article for commercial director, Joan Ferrer, in key industry title PSBJ (Public Sector Build Journal).

In it, Joan argues that the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) offers a ready-made quality mark for transparency and accountability, and it should be required for products used in publicly funded construction projects.

Ravago’s recent research revealed that just 62% of architects think manufacturers currently provide clear and accurate information, while 64% say misleading or ambiguous product information remains a major problem for the industry.

Every architect surveyed believed CCPI accreditation should be mandatory.

In the article, we worked with our client to challenge the new government to reward those who play by the rules with public contracts. Will they listen?
